LET'S KEEP GROWING TOGETHER
About Grupo Stier & CEMA
Centro de Estudios Marítimos del Atlántico (Atlantic Centre of Maritime Studies) – CEMA – was incorporated in 1996 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to provide specialized training and educational courses for the global maritime community in the Canary Islands. CEMA was founded by Ida Stier, Average Adjuster and P&I; Correspondent, with a long professional experience in the maritime and insurance industries. The wish to transmit this experience and expertise became the driving force to establish and promote a specialized maritime training institution in the Islands, which intends to be at the same time practical and innovative. Since its foundation, CEMA has deployed all its resources to develop various different programs and activities, directed to the different professional levels in the maritime and port industries. Outstanding among these, is the specialized post graduate education currently carried out.
In this time we are proud that CEMA has achieved its two most important objectives:
Programming and execution of training and educational activities to satisfy the needs of all aspects of maritime studies.
Maintain the reliability, quality and professionalism in each and all our training processes in order to guarantee the maximum benefit for our students.
Following our principles we look at the future with enthusiasm and the confidence to join the age of the new technologies. CEMA is working to develop the maritime training for the market needs of the 21st century.
